Dawn is the founder and captain of the TBT. After three years of working as a promotional model for Budweiser ("ser" of the Budweiser Label Conscious Poster Girls), Hawaiian Tropic and custom auto shows nationwide, Dawn had an idea of having a team of models to perform in the same promotional capacity as she was accustomed. That's when she decided to contact about thirty beautiful women she knew, told them her idea. To her surprise, 24 models agreed to follow her! That started the team in 1992 and it's been going strong every since!
Dawn is a vivacious and curvacious native Texan! She has honey blonde hair and green eyes, she stands 5'5"; plus, she has all the curves to go with her Texan build . . . 36, 25, 36!

Dawn grew up in a small town in central Texas (DeLeon) and attended high school near Houston (Humble H.S.). She then headed to Lubbock to atttend Texas Tech University, where she studied physical education, fashion merchandising and broadcast journalism, all of which she uses in her day to day business of the TBT. Dawn was also a cheerleader for the TT Red Raiders for three of her college years.

Since pursuing a business in the entertainment industry, she began studying acting and got the lead role in George Strait's music video, "Check Yes or No", has appeared in made for television movies (Texas Justice) and series (Heaven Help Us), as well as television commercials (including a national commercial for Black Eyed Pea Restaurant). Currently, Dawn has a speaking part in a movie Paramount Pictures and MTV, Varsity Blues (waitress in red who serves the guys drinks).
Dawns goals are to continue the TBT for many years, hopefully with a sponsor (national or otherwise) and to continue her acting endeavors. Plus, continue to live a happy and full life.
Dawn did not get her start from the "TBT". . . recognize her in this photo?

WHY YOU'RE A GREAT MODEL FOR THE TBT: Because I love to live in bikini's, I'm a super energetic and super positive person who seems to instill the same in others who are around me and I love meeting people! Also, because I'm the founder . . . so, I know what I want my models to be like!
MOST INTERESTING EVENT YOU WORKED FOR TBT & WHY: Well, there's many, so here goes. . . When I first started the company we were on a Heineken Regatta promotion in the Exumas (Bahamas), and we happened upon Bernie Little (a Budweiser distributor) in Cat Cay. He invited us on the Big Eagle (his super yacht)! It was beautiful, and he and his family were delightfully beautiful as well! Then on another promotion in Nassau, Bahamas, we were having a champagne toast at a friends home in Lyford Cay, before an evening of bar calls (promotions) when our host left to invite his neighbor over. When he returned, Sean Connery returned with him. Needless to say, the evening was a blast! Then there was the time we were in New Orleans working the Championship Auto Show at the Superdome, when Dan Akroyd approached our booth, invited us to the House of Blues and fed our models and staff. The food was fabulous, the atmosphere great and the hospitality was unconditionally kind! Then, there was the time when we were appearing at an outdoor car show in Tampa, FL, it so happened that our hotel was near a convention center where David Copperfield was appearing. We spoke to the crew who was setting up and the road manager got us into the show, near the front, and Mr. Copperfield asked one of our models (Kit) on stage for one of his magic acts! Then all of us got to meet him afterwards for a few moments. It was truly mystical.
MOST INTERESTING PERSON YOU MET WHILE WORKING FOR TBT & WHY: There's be many, but I'd have to say the fans are the most interesting. From the little boys and girls, to the repeat customers like "Polaroid Bob" or "Corey Coffeepot".
How about the first "Budweiser" bikini? You guessed it. Dawn created one in 1992, (from one of her Bud dresses used for local promotions) then modeled it for Bernie Little and the next we knew. . . it became a popular Budweiser item!

STRENGTHS OR BEST ASSESTS: I believe that my best asset is my genuine friendliness. My parents have always said that I've never met a stranger. That, in itself, has opened many doors for me, as well as my positive attitude!
WHAT'S YOUR FAMILY LIKE: I have a big family. My mom is a retired first grade teacher and my dad is a retired high school football coach. I also have a twin (twin brother), a little sister and a little brother.
PETS: I have two dogs (shar-pei's), Turbo & Mugs. Mugs (Precious "Governor" Smuggley) was named after our previous Texas Governor, Ann Richards. We also have a gold fish, Goldie!
WHO DO YOU MOST ADMIRE: For me, it would have to me my family for different reasons. My mom because of her love and belief in all of our abilities, my dad because of his ability to bring out the best in others and his love of what he does, my sister because of her strength and persistance and my brother because of his endurance and commitment.
WHAT SPORTS OR PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES INTEREST YOU: I love to participate in all water sports, snowskiing, jogging and auto racing. I love to watch football, boxing, iceskating and most olympic sports.
TURN-ONS: Fast cars, champagne and crab legs, fireworks anytime of year, soaking up the sun in an itsy bitsy bikini, bubble baths and watching movies at home with popcorn, a blanket and a fire roaring in the fireplace.
TURN-OFFS: Cold weather, whining, being sick and cars that doesn't run.
How about just a few more photos: Well, Okay......

WHAT'S SO GREAT ABOUT WORKING WITH A GROUP OF SWIMSUIT MODELS: I suppose it's the fact that once you're out of school, you don't have those same close-knit friendships as you did in school. But with the TBT, the tight friendships continue (sort of like a sorority) because we travel, eat and sleep together for a solid tour searson! Plus, everyone is positive about performing, keeping in shape and being flexible when travel has its adventures (like the bus breaking down).
WHAT CHALLENGES DO YOU FACE AS A SWIMSUIT MODEL: Being a model of any kind entails getting over other peoples prejudices of models. The best way to do this is to be as genuine of a person as you can; be yourself. Hopefully, those people will realize that you are just like them. I guess my soap box on this is the "Barbie" issue, because believe it or not, (I know from experience of owning a swimsuit/modeling company) there are some women who look like Barbie, or better naturally. There's also women who don't work out at all, who happen to have a fantastic physic! Maybe this is from being active as a child (instead of sitting in front of the T.V.) which has helped them maintain their physic through their young adult life. And just as you can guess, there are some who have to really watch their weight and what they eat! The best advice I can give is to be aware that every person is unique and different, and each person must follow their hearts, whether the road is easy (and they can eat what they want and never work out) or difficult (and they have to watch every bite they take and work out relentlessly)!
WHAT ADVICE COULD YOU GIVE TO A YOUNG WOMAN ABOUT SUCCESS: Believe in your dreams, because they do come true! Also, if you want something bad enough, you will achieve it. It's the will, the drive and the heart of a person that allows success! If you believe you can, you usually CAN!
GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT: The best achievement for me is seeing a model gain confidence and poise. I see this year after year, when a new group of models start working for me. Through the TBT, they meet the public and perform in fashion shows, every weekend for many months, during our tour season. They work a few or several years and through this constant public appearing, they blossom into confident, poised people (like Tatum or Jeanine).
WHAT SINGLE CHARITY COULD/WOULD YOU SUPPORT: Something with children, where you can help build their confidence! Because there's nothing like the thrill on child's face when they accomplish something they couldn't do before. So, if there's such organization, please let me know.
Okay, a few more and that's it!

(These photos were shot by Andy Pearlman of Los Angeles. Dawn did the rest.)
FAVORITE CARTOON/CARTOON CHARACTER: I love the cartoons I grew up with, like Bugs Bunny & Daffy Duck, Sylvester & Tweety, Tom & Jerry, the Roadrunner, etc. But my favorite is a toss up between Tweety and Taz. I guess its the angel and devil in me!
FAVORITE FOOD/MEAL: My favorite food has to be Death by Chocolate from Bennigans and my favorite meal would have to be dinner with crab legs and champagne.
FAVORITE TRANSPORTATION:eDodge Viper, because they're sleek, sexy and fast . . . and I'm sure I'd look good driving one! br
ight yAndy also shot the next photo. These were available at most poster shops.

More you say. . . continue on!
YOUR MOTTO OR QUOTE TO LIVE BY: "Everything is bigger in Texas".
BEHIND YOUR BACK, WHAT DO OTHERS SAY ABOUT YOU: Are those real?
YOUR TEXAN QUALITIES: My big Texas personality, a slight twang and my "down home"ness.
I REMEMBER THE FIRST TIME I . . . did anything for the first time . . like become a cheerleader, run the hurdles, shave my legs, skinny dip, enter a bikini contest, audition for a commercial, swim with dolphins, swim with sharks, snow ski, drive a race car, etc., etc., etc.
NOBODY KNOWS THAT I . . . was a super klutz growing up. Mom & Dad had to put me in dance lessons to give me some grace, and that's where I stayed for 13 years.

FAVORITE SEASON/HOLIDAY: My favorite season is summer, because I love the warmth of the sun and being outside! It just so happens that my favorite holiday also falls in the summer, it's the Fourth of July, because I love fireworks! They're flashy, dreamy and beautiful!
IF YOU COULD HAVE DINNER WITH ANYONE IN THE WORLD, WHO AND WHY: Well, since my favorite meal is dinner with crab legs and champagne, a dinner date would nice. For me, not because he's drop dead gorgeous, but because of his charm, it would have to be Tom Cruise. I'd love to see those eyes twinkle while slurping butter-dipped crab legs!
WHAT COUNTRY WOULD YOU LIKE TO VISIT: I would love to visit many countries, but to name a few . . . Austrailia, France, Switzerland and Spain.
FAVORITE WORD: Austin (those who know me, know why)!
WHEN YOU MAKE IT TO HEAVEN, WHAT WOULD GOD SAY TO YOU: I knew you could do it!

Even after warned about hitch hikers, Dawn was still attacked by younger men.
ORGIN/MEANING OF NAME: Dawn (English) sunrise, dawn.
